I love Zoe Saldana’s style. She always looks super-chic, even when laid back and casual. So I was so excited to see her sporting a look that the rest of us can pull off and afford – well, at least the dress. Zoe wears this striped Express dress while out and about. Her styling is impeccable, as always. The dress and sunglasses are exactly what she has on, but I found more affordable alternatives for some of the accessories. Next time you are at the mall, pick up some of these pieces and get the look for yourself.

The September issue of Vogue finally arrived in my mailbox. Yay!!! As many of you must know, the September issue is the biggest issue of the year - September marks the beginning of the Fashion calendar. All fashion labels strive to be featured in this issue, filling the pages with the best and most fashion-forward pieces. I am so excited to dig into these pages and will happily report back with any new findings or interesting trends that I come across.

Kim’s Big Day

Pictures are worth a thousand words – but these pictures are worth $1.5 million. Here are a few of those million dollar images from the long-awaited Kim Kardashian wedding - you'll be able to see all the images in People Magazine this Friday. Kim donned three Vera Wang gowns at the black-and-white star-studded event. Kim’s favorite dress was the mermaid gown (pictured on the stairs above), which she wore when entering the reception. I agree with Kim on this one – that dress looked amazing on her. Which is your fav? I’m surprised to see that all the bridesmaids wore white – interesting! But I have to say, I love the décor – amazing, beautiful, and slightly over-the-top.

Celeb Style – The Lace Dress

The lace dress is sophisticated sexiness for any age, style, and look. It’s the perfect outfit for any evening or event that requires little styling but brings a lot umph. Be on the look out for a cute color and cut for yourself. The longer sleeved ones will be perfect for fall and if you find one with a shorter sleeve, just throw a blazer on top. Remember, keep the jewelry simple, so the lace can be the star. 

Trend Alert – Midi Skirts

There was the mini, then there was the maxi. And now, there is the midi – midi skirt, that is. I’m so excited about this new length. It is trendy, yet classic. You could wear it to the office or to church, without feeling the need to pull down your hemline all the time. The midi is so versatile – it can be worn with a button-up to a Sunday brunch, like Katie Holmes. Or go casual with some skinny belt and ballet flats. Throw on some pumps with the pencil silhouette and you are ready for the office.

Get the Look

I love the statement polish model Daga Ziober makes in these bright red skinnies. The model pairs the bold bottoms with a nude-colored blazer and a white button down for a perfect combination. She adds the black belt and ballerina flats to finish up the outfit. Get the look for yourself with the more affordable alternatives. Add a black tote – such as Daga’s beautiful Celine luggage tote (my dream bag) – and you are ready to go! 

Kardashian Kollection Now Available

The Kardashian Kollection is now available in Sears stores. On August 17^th, the Kardashian clan stepped out to launch their collection, some of them sporting pieces from their own line. Although some of the items are cute, there is nothing I am in love with, and the prices are nowhere near what I would pay for them. In my opinion, if I were ever in a Sears store, I may stop to try on the Mary Janes Kourtney is wearing or to check out the jewelry, which is reasonably priced. Dasha Zhukova has confirmed that her new magazine Garage is set to launch next month. This Russian fashionista has amazing style and she is such an inspiration. I am looking forward to seeing this new project of hers and will definitely subscribe if it has her great mind behind it.

Why, oh why won’t they open a Zara in the Sacramento area??? I have to have this blouse. The sheer material and the details on the collar are just perfect and, although I may have the same style blouse in almost every color, I need this one. Thus, I may need to take a trip to San Francisco. Who’s with me???

BCBGeneration Fall 2011 Campaign

Summer is my favorite season, but I have to admit – BCBGeneration’s new fall campaign is making me very excited for fall. Neutral tones – grey, nude, off-white – and menswear inspired fashion are my two favorite things, and these looks are hitting the spot. I want those high-wasted pants, the hat, the yellow blouse, the striped skirt….. Actually, I want it all – styled exactly like that, with the deep red lips and neutral make-up. I think it’s time to start revamping my closet for fall.

I came across this swimsuit by Chanel and I am absolutely in love. The retro look, the beading, the black and white emblem - I want it! And, yes, I understand that only in my dreams I am wearing this suit on some resort in St. Tropez – but a girl’s gotta dream, right…..

It may be surprising, but I have to say – I love Kohl’s! Ever since the chain started carrying lines by Lauren Conrad and Vera Wang, I have found some really cute and affordable pieces in their stores. So, I am really excited to share that this fall, Kohl’s will be adding another famous name to their designer list – Jennifer Lopez. The store just released pictures of the new line. Although I’m not in love with any of the full looks, when separated, there are several pieces that I’m really looking forward to. I really like the sequin shirt and the grey skirt.
