Trend Alert – Pastels
I love the new color trend that is popping up all over the place. The hot pinks, bright oranges, bold reds are all being replaced by mint greens, sky blues and pale pinks….The colors look great as wardrobe pieces, accessories and my ultimate fav – shoes. I am dying to get a pair of the mint green pumps. These colors are perfect to spruce up the fall wardrobe. As the weather cools down, the colors are dimmed down, yet just as fabulous.

Leather & Maxi
Don’t push your maxi dresses/skirts to the back of the closet just yet. Although the weather will soon be too cold to wear your maxis on their own, celebrities have shown us how to move them into the fall season seamlessly. All you need is a leather jacket, which should already be a staple piece in your closet. The jacket can be pulled off with many looks and is just rough enough for the fall season. I love the contrast of the bright blue with the high collar and the leather that Rachel Zoe is wearing. Olivia Palermo styled the jacket with a lovely forest green skirt and a simple white tee for a perfect going out look. Looking forward to seeing some of you wear this look when the temperature goes down.

63rd Emmy Awards
Last night, designer-clad celebrities stepped out in their best to celebrate the 63rd Annual Emmy Awards. I love watching these events, mostly just to see what everyone is wearing…Below are some of my Fashion Favorites from the night and also some of the Fashion Fails. Comment and let me know if you agree or disagree with my picks and if you think someone else should have made the list.

Fashion Fail
Usually this Kardashian knows how to do fashion, but I have to say – this outfit is a hot mess. The leather leggings with that ugly purple silk shirt and the white blazer….. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the shoes – flip-flops, really? with this outfit!!??? I don't know what she was thinking.

New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week kicked off last week and fashion trends are popping up all over the runways. Below are some of my favorite looks from some of my favorite designers so far. There are still a few days of fashion left, so I may add another post later. Enjoy!
Diane von Furstenberg
The pastel palette is absolutely amazing! Love how she mixes the colors.
L.A.M.B.
Gwen Stefani goes bold with the prints as usual. I’m loving the jumpsuit and the black and white color combos.
Jason Wu
Menswear – one of my favorite looks and Mr. Wu does it well.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria goes sleek and defined on the runway. I love the coat and the structure in the dresses.

Trend Alert – Red & Pink
Color blocking has been a top trend this season and lately celebrities have been sporting this trend with two colors – red and pink. Recently Sex and the City favorite SJP stepped out wearing the color combo perfectly. The sheer sleeves on the Prabal Gurung blouse are the perfect subtlety with this bold color combo. Check out how some of the other celebs pull off this look, and try it for yourself.

Print & Color
I recently purchased this dress and wanted to share the look with you. I am absolutely in love with the print and color as well as the pockets and the front exposed zipper. In order to focus the attention on the print, I went minimal and paired the dress with only a leather jacket and black-strapped heels.
Lust List
I want this outfit – all of it. The Atlantic-Pacific blogger pulls off the perfect combination of casual and dressy. The sweater and vest are perfectly balanced with the boyfriend jeans and loafers, and then finished off with layers of pearls and watch. The addition of the nude clutch is just perfect. I’m in love……
Street Style
Labor Day has come and gone and all that’s left are the memories and pictures of good times. I spent the weekend in Laguna Beach, California, with a great group of friends. The days were spent at the beach and the nights out in the town. I wanted to share some fashion highlights from my trip.
Lana sported the perfect beach cover-up while lounging around Laguna Beach. The pattern and bright colors were perfect for the summer weather and the light material made for a great piece to throw on and keep from getting too much UV light.
NIGHT:
I love Lana’s outfit above. She did accessories right – jewelry, headband, shoes….they were spot on. The statement necklace was the perfect color and popped on the backdrop of the black tank. The headband is gorgeous and was the right amount of bling for the outfit.

Wedding Style
Weddings are the ultimate demonstration of a couple’s (mostly the bride’s) eye for style and design. After attending a recent wedding, I was inspired by how the décor incorporated modern day trends, but was still classic with elegance weaved throughout. The bride, Lana, is a master of décor (you can check out her work here), so from the invitations to the very last blossom on the reception centerpieces, her touch was evident. Neutral tones were the wedding trend of the season, so I love that the wedding décor was inspired by this, but didn’t shy from the welcomed addition of “couture” and “bling” to take it up a notch. Below are some of my favorite shots from the wedding. If you would like to see more, visit the photographer’s website here.
I loved the 3D aspect of the invitations. They set the stage for what was to come….
The cake – tasted as good as it looked….
The couture flowers on the bridal table, made by the bride’s friend Tanya, were my favorite accessory – beautiful!
These Badgley Mischkas were the perfect fit!! Love, love, love….
And one of the happy couple. I would be smiling after a wedding like that too!
